Wastewater Treatment Plant for Goodman Fielder Poultry, Fiji
The Goodman Fielder poultry facility in Fiji was facing increasing production volumes and required a reliable wastewater treatment plant that could meet the country’s strict national standards for liquid waste discharge. Protecting sensitive local waterways demanded a solution with both high treatment performance and long-term resilience.

Solution
Hydroflux delivered a 1.5 MLD treatment plant, designed to accommodate future flows and highly variable poultry effluent. The system incorporated screening, balancing, dissolved air flotation (DAF), and a HySMART SBR, ensuring stable performance across changing loads. Two independent sludge dewatering lines were installed for primary and secondary sludge, supported by Aerostrip diffusers and HUBER systems to minimise energy use and optimise water recovery.

Outcome
The plant achieved consistent compliance with discharge limits, reduced environmental impact, and provided Goodman Fielder with a sustainable platform for long-term operations in Fiji.
