Patties Food Group Awards Second DAF Project to Hydroflux
July 30, 2026
Hydroflux has been awarded a second Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) project by Patties Food Group, following the successful delivery of a HyDAF system for the company’s Melbourne manufacturing facility.
The new project will see Hydroflux supply a HyDAF system for Patties’ Brisbane site, where it will provide primary treatment of high-strength food processing wastewater. Designed to efficiently remove suspended solids, fats, oils and grease, the system will ensure compliance with Urban Utilities’ trade waste discharge requirements.

The award follows the successful implementation of the Melbourne system and demonstrates Patties’ confidence in Hydroflux’s ability to deliver practical and reliable wastewater treatment solutions. As with all Hydroflux installations, the system has been specifically engineered to suit the wastewater characteristics and operational requirements of the Brisbane facility.
HyDAF has been widely adopted throughout the food industry for the treatment of high-strength wastewater. Combining high solids removal efficiency with low operating costs and a robust design, single HyDAF units are capable of treating flows exceeding 8 ML/day.
The Brisbane project continues Hydroflux’s involvement in delivering wastewater treatment solutions for many of Australia’s leading food manufacturers.
