Containerised Sludge Dewatering for Flexible, On-Demand Performance

February 19, 2026

Managing sludge during shutdowns, peak loads, plant upgrades or equipment failures can place significant strain on wastewater operations. Hydroflux Utilities offers a fully integrated, rental-ready containerised sludge dewatering solution designed for rapid deployment and reliable performance.

Rapid Deployment, Minimal Setup

Housed within a 20-foot shipping container, the system requires only power, potable water and sludge feed connections for commissioning. No permanent infrastructure is required, making it suitable for:

  • Temporary capacity increases
  • Lagoon or digester desludging
  • Planned shutdowns
  • Construction projects
  • Emergency response

Proven Screw Press Technology

The unit features a HUBER Technology RoS3Q inclined screw press, delivering consistent cake dryness with low energy use and stable operation across varying sludge types.

An integrated HMI with remote access enables real-time monitoring and performance control.

Flexible Rental Model

Available on short- or long-term rental agreements, the system allows facilities to increase dewatering capacity without capital expenditure. Operators can assess performance under real site conditions before committing to permanent upgrades.

Rental packages can include delivery, commissioning, operator training and technical support.

Engineered Certainty

The unit requires a flat hardstand area (approximately 8 m × 5 m), 3-phase power and potable water supply. Optional feed tanks, pumps and ancillary equipment can be configured to suit site requirements.

By combining proven technology with responsive service support, Hydroflux Utilities helps operators maintain compliance, manage biosolids efficiently and minimise downtime.
